Wave Review by L.M Evans 23/4/2017

Synopsis

Brian (Baz) Zakins has dreamed of becoming a pro-surfer since he was a child. At twenty-two, he knows he's running out of time to attract a sponsorship.
Determination. Dedication.
NO DISTRACTIONS!!
Miley Rose never should have been in the water that afternoon. Tourists have no business swimming in local surfing areas, but there she was, being taken under by a ten foot swell.
What Baz didn't realize was that saving this beautiful woman would have devastating consequences; ones that may potentially rob him of everything he ever wanted. This is the story of loss - pain- and finding courage to continue when none seems possible. Find out if love can save a lost soul, or if the majestic waves of the sea will wash away the hope for a new future.

MY REVIEW

This was a touching story about two people that find each other when they are at their lowest, things are go down a very dark path for Baz and Miley. But despite the pain and troubles that they have been through in life, they some how find light in at the end of the tunnel.

This book is a emotional roller coaster, the pain and the suffering the characters go through hits you hard like a punch to the chest. You can't help but cry for all the pain, the hurt they endure and for the first time ever I felt sorry for the leading man in a story to go from having a second chance to having it taken away in a blink of an eye.
I have read loads of books over the last few years but Wave is the first book to ever leave me in tears throughout the book as well as a lump in the throat. The further I read through the the book the more it pulled on my heartstrings and even after I had finished reading I was still in tears. I have never been like that with a book but for some reason this book just really got to me.

Jenn Foor is one of my top go to authors, I have read most of her work and as much as the Mitchell & Mitchel Healy books are my favourite. Jenn know that already, but Wave it's one of those books that rips your heart apart and has you balling like a baby in to a bowl of ice cream. This is one that stands out above all of Jenns books simply because of the way the story is told. This needs to be made into a big blockbuster movie, I for one would love to see this up on the big screen.
