AUTHOR INTERVIEW
WITH
K.T FISHER
PLEASE WELCOME THE AUTHOR THAT BROUGHT
US THE HOT ROCKER SERIES DECOY AND ONE
HALF OF THE AWSOME DUO BEHIND
THE SEVERED SERIES, K.T FISHER.
Hi Kellie,Tell us a little about yourself?
I’m
K.T Fisher, I’m 24 years old and I’m an erotic romance author. Some
people, actually quite a lot of people ask what K.T stands for and if
they are my real initials. K.T stands for Kellie Theresa and my real
name is actually Kellie Theresa Fisher. I have two beautiful daughters
and have been with my partner ever since we were 15! I love everything
to do with reading and writing and have dreamed of becoming an author
from childhood.
How would you describe your books?
Currently
all of my books are erotic romances. Two of them are rock star themed.
The Decoy series is more suspense and my Black Inferno is also erotic
suspense but a lot darker. As well as rock stars, I also have co-wrote a
biker series with Ava Manello called Severed MC. Now that series is not
for the light hearted, it is packed with danger and twists. I have many
others stored for safe keeping but I also want to try the paranormal
side of things and maybe even the world of young adults.
What genre is your work mainly? Do you tend to stay in the same vein or are you hoping ( if not already ) to explore new ventures?
Currently
all my books fall under new age romance and erotic romance. I would
LOVE to reach out to the paranormal world. I’m also thinking about
writing for a younger audience.
Can you share with us a quote from one of your favourite characters in your books?
Oh
there’s too many for me to choose from and I haven’t got one single
favourite character, I love them all. I will say though, in my latest
book Rockstar’s Temptation, I love how Max calls Maisy, ‘Maisy Moo.’ :D
Is it hard to come up with new idea's and / or plot's?
Most
of the time, surprisingly not. As soon as I think about a rough plot or
the smallest idea I have to write it down and it spirals into ideas and
events right away. Sometimes in the middle of the book I can get stuck
though, but that’s why I have to write a chapter plan. It’s a must for
me.
What inspired you to write your book?
I
just really love writing! Simple as that. I have dreamed of becoming a
writer for such a long time that I appreciate every release. My love of
rockers and bikers inspired me to write my own.
Who is the easiest character to write for and Why? Hardest and why?
The
easiest characters to write for are the children because they can get
away with anything! The hardest character to write for is probably the
really evil characters because I’m not an evil person but Ava Manello
has taught me well. I now delve into my newly evilness.
Without giving anything away, what is / are your favourite scenes in your book ( s )?
In
my books, I think my favourite scenes are the ones where the big alpha
male character realises that he has mistakenly fallen for a woman and it
absolutely terrifies him. Those scenes are fun!
Do you have any hobbies?
Reading, writing and online shopping!
Do you have a specific writing style?
I’ve been told that I do, but I don’t see it myself and I’m not aware what style it is.
How did you come up with the title?
Titles
can be a tricky thing. That and writing a book blurb! With Rockstars
Temptation I actually asked my street team for some help. Titles have to
fit in with their series and also capture their own individuality.
How much of the book is realistic? Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?
How
I wish parts in my books have happened to me! No, I’m not talking about
the stalking, torturing and murder. I’m talking about the adventures,
the lifestyles and the amazing sex! Some of the sex scenes spring from
the truth, don’t tell my partner that because his head would explode.
What books have most influenced
your life most?
Anybody
who really knows me should know this answer. The Harry Potter series
made my love for books triple! Before them, I did enjoy reading but
after reading J.K Rowlings amazing wizarding world, I had a love for
books so much I began to dream I was clever enough to write my own books
and I started to write short stories in my diary. I still have some of
these and I want to bring them to life!
If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor?
I wouldn’t say I had a mentor because I admire so many.
What book are you reading now?
Right now I am reading All in (The Knights of Mayhem) by Brooke Greene and I am loving it!
What are your current projects? If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your books?
Right
now I am slowly writing a brand new series that is hushed. I have just
finished Rockstar’s Temptation and getting ready to write the new
Severed MC book, Carnal Persuasion, with Ava. I am actually thinking of
going back over Rockstar Daddy and Rockstar’s Girl and letting my brand
new editor work her magic on them.
Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?
As long as I can remember! I’ve always wanted to write but never thought it would be possible.
Can you share a little of your current work with us?
“Jesus, Tan!” Jessica laughs.
“What?”
She shrugs and tries to look innocent. She’s not fooling anyone. “I
can’t help it if my man likes to taste me every chance he can get. Even
on the beach.”
“Children!” Sophie squeals as she attempts to cover April’s tiny ears.
“Please.” Tanya laughs, leaning
closer to baby April. “You need to hear these things from your Auntie
Tanya, baby girl. Trust me on that.”
Sophie shakes her head. “We don’t need to be thinking about that just yet.”
“Jax already is,” Kendal grumbles.
“He’s already working himself up over protecting Grace from boys. I
swear, he’s already got Finley and the boys training for it.”
“Yeah, about that. Sam got a call
from your husbands.” Tanya points to Kendal and Sophie. “They’re asking
for back-up, because these girls are too damn gorgeous!” She squeals as
she tears April from Sophie’s arms.
We all laugh, but it doesn’t surprise
me. Jax is going to be crazy protective of that little girl, and he has
reason to be. That little girl has all of her mother’s beauty already,
and she’s going to have them chasing after her every day of the week! As
for April, she is every part of her mother, but she has her dads looks
as well These men are going to have their hands full, but we women will
make sure they have all the fun they need.
Kendal’s phone rings, and everyone falls quiet.
“Hi,” she answers brightly, and I already know it’s Jax on the other end. “Sure, yeah, I’m leaving now.”
She hangs up and stands, ordering Finley to get his shoes on and getting the triplets ready. “Leaving me already?” I joke.
“Yep.” She smirks.
“But we’re staying,” Jessica adds, pointing to herself and Tanya.
“Ok, great.” I say sarcastically.
“No, not “great”, because you’re having a makeover,” Tanya informs me.
My teasing smile falls from my face and all the girls laugh. “Why?”
“We can’t tell you that.” Sophie kisses me on the cheek.
“Now, help me out, will ya?” Kendal
asks, and I pick up Noah as Jessica and Tanya follow with Rory and
Grace. “Jesus, why did Jax have to bless me with three babies?” she
moans on our way. “Why can’t I be like Soph?” She gestures over to
Sophie who is easily managing April and her baby change bag all by
herself as she makes her way to her car. As Kendal whines, Sophie
giggles, but I really feel for Kendal. It has to be tough with triplets.
As much as she loves them all, she went from having just Finley to
having a full house! That’s got to be a little stressful.
FROM ROCKSTAR'S TEMPTATION-OUT NOW
Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
It used to be the damned writers block, but I’ve found that writing a chapter plan and then a rough chapter guide really helps.
Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?
I couldn’t possibly choose! There are
too many!
Who designed the covers?
Well,
it has always been Clarise Tan from CT Cover Creations but for
Rockstar’s Temptation I went with a new designer called Louisa Maggio @
LM Creations.
What was the hardest part of writing your book?
With
Rockstars Temptation, it was probably the hospital scenes. They were a
little tricky and I had to properly look up hospital diagnosis for
Maisy’s treatment.
Did you learn anything from writing your book and what was it?
Yes
I did! Whist I was looking through websites and blogs to do with the
hospital scenes for Maisy, I was overwhelmed with people’s stories and
their road to recovery.
Do you have any advice for other writers?
I’m
still pretty new to the indie writer world as I’ve only been releasing
my work for just over a year but if I was to give a piece of advice, it
would be to do you chapter plan. Seriously, they really help and once
you have a rough guide as to what’s happening in your book, then roughly
write down what will happen in each chapter. As you go along, they will
change and the number of chapters will probably increase because whilst
writing a new idea would have come along, but that’s a good thing and
it really helps to fight off the writers block.
Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
Just
a HUGE thank you to everyone who has read my books or are going to read
one. As I’ve said before, this is my dream and as my readers you are
making this all come true.
What is your favourite genre to write?
So
far I have only written erotic romance and I do love writing this
genre. How could you not! Reaching into the darker side can be fun too. I
am really looking forward to writing some paranormal though, that
should be exciting!
What is your favourite genre to read?
I love a wide range. Erotica, romance, suspense, dark romance and paranormal.
How long have you been writing for?
About two years, but I released my first book in August 2013.
What is your favourite movie?
That
is a very hard question! I have so many, but I would have to say that
right now it would be the Hunger Games series and The Mortal Instruments
series. I love them and the books were better!
Also I watch Divergent the other
week and I fell in love!
How difficult is it to come up with one of your amazing plots?
Not that hard really. I have a notebook full of ideas and plots, they randomly come to mind throughout the day.
How about characters? Are they easily born and developed?
Yes, just like the plots they can come easily. I think as soon as you have a good solid plot, the characters are born with it.
How long does it take you to complete a novel from concept to completion?
The
quickest It has taken me was 4 months and the longest would be around 5
months. With the Severed series, because I write with Ava Manello it’s
quite fast and we work well under a tight deadline.
What was your first published piece? And how was it to publish your first book?
My
first book was Rockstar Daddy in my Decoy series and it was very scary!
I had the help from some great authors because otherwise I wouldn’t
have known what the hell to do.
Have you ever trashed a novel or story before or after finishing it, feeling it wasn't turning out as you planned?
Yes!
Before I wrote Rockstar Daddy, I started to write a vampire series but
never completed it. I got to the middle of the book and deleted the
whole file. I wasn’t happy with it and I felt forced to write it so I
stopped. I wouldn’t release anything that I am not happy with. So
Rockstar Daddy was born.
Out of all your brilliant characters Which ones were you favourite?
I
love them all, I really do but I always find the latest characters you
have written about are a little closer to your heart. I believe that’s
because they are fresh in your mind but they’re like you’re children.
You love them equally.
Do you have a special time or place
to write?
I
like to write when my children are at school or in bed at night. If I
am on a tight deadline or just have the urge to write, I will if they
are behaving. Otherwise I can’t. I also don’t like to write after 9:30pm
because I like me and my partner to have ‘our time,’ because writing
can easily take over.
Any funny experiences or quirks you'd like to share with your readers?
Well, the good thing about reading and writing so much erotic is trying everything out!
Which one of your awesome books would you like to see be made in to a movie?
Oooooo!
So hard! I’ve been told my Decoy series would make a good movie but I
think Severed MC would be a fantastic movie franchise.
What was the worse job you ever done?
I
haven’t had a bad job. I’m 24 and had my first daughter at 17. I
completed my GCSE’s and went to college and now I am an independent
author.
Do you ever get any ideas at random moments, and if so how do you hand on to them?
All
the time! I can be sitting at home and a thought would spring to mind.
The most recent was me and my partner were on a date in a nice
restaurant and a book idea popped into my head. I had to write it down!
Can you write on demand and under pressure, or do you need time and space before the creativity starts to flow and how do you over come writers block?
Once
I have the plot, the chapter plan and rough chapter draft can take a
couple of days to finalise. Once I have done that, it can be pretty easy
going to write the book.
Who was your inspiration behind your lead men in your books?
Just any hot man that I found a
photo off! Haha

Jax and kendall
Jax and kendall
Interview
from
Rockstar's Daddy
from
Rockstar's Daddy
Kendal - How do you feel knowing that you tamed the bad boy jax?
I
don’t know about Jax being a bad boy. When I first met him, he seemed
like a good guy but I’ve heard from the guys that he was a little
reckless when we weren’t together anymore. I don’t really like to think
about those years too much. Right now we have each other again and I
couldn’t be happier.
Of
course I do. I wish that when she walked out of my door, secretly
pregnant, I would have ran after her. I couldn’t get a hold of her or
find her before the band left. I just wish that those years weren’t
wasted, but I’m happy I finally have my family back.
Kendal- How did you feel when you held Jax's son in your arms knowing that you walked away from Jax for his career?
It
was an emotional time and I’m thankful I had my friends and family
there to help me. I felt terrible for what I had done and for the fact
Jax had a beautiful son in this world and didn’t know a thing. If Jax
hadn’t returned to London when he did, I know that I would have found
Jax because Finley needed his father.
Jax- How do you feel now you know why kendal walked away?
I
understand her a little more but I still just wish that she would have
told me. I believe that I could still be where I am today if I would
have been with Kendal and Finley.
It
was just like Finleys birth. Very emotional. I couldn’t stop crying,
they were both happy and sad tears and I still feel guilty for what I
kept from him.
Jax - How long has kendal held your heart for and do you think if you hadn't met up at the wedding you would of gotten over her?
I have been hooked on Kendal from the first time I saw her at the party. I was devastated when she left me and I never got over her. Even the guys knew it! I don’t think I would have ever gotten over her and if I hadn’t seen her at the wedding, I would have made sure I saw her again.
Kendall - How long have you loved jax for and do you think you could of moved on if you found love again?
I’ve
loved Jax from before I was even pregnant. That’s why I did what I did,
I really thought I was doing the right thing for Jax. I don’t think I
could have really moved on with someone else, I wouldn’t have been happy
with anyone else.
Both- What we're you thinking when Finley called Jax 'Daddy' for the first time?
Kendal-- I was such an emotional wreck.
Jax--It was one of the best days of my life.
Kendal--Everyone knew I was doing the wrong thing by myself and Finely so they were happy when Jax came back.
Jax--They hated me for years because I wasn’t myself without her. I knew I had to get her back. So when I finally did, they were relieved I think.
Kendal--Finley is as happy as he can be! He loves spending time with Jax he’s a real daddys boy now.
Jax-- No he’s still a mummys boy. (Laughing) Finley loves all the attention! It doesn’t faze him at all, the camera loves him.
